Games I've Completed

This is a game where you play as a border guard in 1982 for a fictional Soviet style country. Sat in your station, you call people in one by one and check all of their documents. The rules and requirements of these change quite regularly. You get paid for the amount of people you process, and get fined for mistakes.

At the end of each day you need to decide how you spend your money, choosing whether to pay for rent, food, medicine, heat etc. If you don’t do this enough your family members can fall ill and die.

Each day there are are events that play out, whether it’s people begging to be let through, terrorist attacks or a secret network of people asking you to help bring down the government.

It’s a pretty grim game, and very effective at putting you in the position of making terrible decisions between your family and an awful regime. I found myself ending up following the party line, and turning away some very needy seeming people to avoid having to pay fines.

One day I’ll come back to this and see what the other endings are like.
