Mario vs. Donkey Kong

Games I've Completed

This is a Switch remake of a Game Boy Advance game. I never played the original, but I did intend to. It’s a sequel to the Game Boy Donkey Kong game, which I replayed in September 2024 and have always loved.

In this one there are Mario toys that Donkey Kong has stolen and you must recover. There are levels much like the original where you have to get the key and reach the exit, and then there are levels a little like Lemmings in which you have to help each of these little Mario toys reach the end. They follow you around, and can only jump a single block high. I found these levels quite interesting, there is only one of them per world though. They also never went anywhere near as far as the original did in exploring the mechanics. The whole game felt very easy and very short, nowhere near as good as the original.
