Games I've Completed

This is a late-era SNES action RPG that was only released in Japan and the PAL regions. I live in the UK, and despite the SNES possibly being my favourite console and my love for RPGs, I never played it. It was released in December 1996, by which point I already had a PlayStation, so I imagine that’s why it slipped past me.

The game takes place on an alternate Earth with two “faces.” There is an inside world and an outside world, each separated from the other. You begin on the inside world, which features a neat Mode 7 effect on the world map that makes the horizon appear as if it’s bending upward.

After that section, you are transported to the outside Earth and tasked with rebuilding it. You have to resurrect animals, humans, and then rebuild towns by sharing knowledge and trading items.

The main character, Ark, is a boy bursting with energy. You bounce into everything, bumble through the story, and barely have a care in the world. I thought this game was excellent, possibly better than Secret of Mana.
